Rejon’s Shih Tzu’s Health Guarantee ~ Non - Transferable

 THE SALE OF THIS AKC PUREBRED SHIH TZU DOG/PUPPY IS MADE UPON THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

One (1) year Genetic Health Guarantee on said puppy:

To the best of the seller's knowledge and belief, this puppy is in excellent health, free from symptoms of contagious and infectious diseases at the time of sale. The buyer is to take the puppy immediately with in 72 hrs after receiving the puppy to his/her veterinarian office for a check up to make this guarantee valid.

 This is a Replacement Guarantee Only. In the unlikely event the puppy expires w/in a year from the date of purchase from a pre-existing genetic condition a notarized Report by your Accredited, Licensed Veterinarian with findings stating, to a medical certainty, that the death was in fact caused from the pre-existing genetic condition will be required. Buyers will be required to send the notarized Accredited Vet's Report by registered mail along with all of the puppy's medical records. Sellers Veterinarian must confirm and agree with the diagnosis. Upon proper confirmation, the Seller will then replace the puppy with another of equal value and the same gender, from the next available litter. Buyer will be responsible for all vet costs, shipping costs incurred. The seller will not assume any shipping costs associated with the sale or the Guarantee on said puppy. This Guarantee will be terminated if puppy was found to be abused, neglected, or does not have up to date records of vaccinations and fecal records. For the most part, we don't guarantee umbilical hernia's. Umbilical hernia's are a common congenital condition caused by the birthing process where in the umbilical cord is severed too short or has been stressed. It is easily fixed when your puppy gets spayed.  However, if the puppy has a severe umbilical hernia, the seller will have it fixed at their vet prior to shipping or pickup. Umbilical hernia's are not considered a defect in the Shih Tzu breed and are very common as with many other breeds. There is no guarantee implied as to adult size, reproductive ability, testicle descending. Due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as cases of abuse or neglect, I never guarantee temperaments of any pups after leaving my premises. The temperament of the Shih Tzu puppy is always wonderful and has been well socialized w/many people including children and other pets including puppies. It is not a Shih Tzu's demeanor to be mean unless taught how to. We do not guarantee common conditions such as, but not limited to improper bite, hernias, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) be sure to view the SHIH TZU INFO PAGE on this website to learn how to avoid hypoglycemia. It is a condition in all toy breeds. We do not guarantee minor conditions such as, loose stools, coccidia or any condition that can be corrected by Veterinarian treatment. These issues can arise from shipping and buyer should be well aware of it. Dental work must be performed routinely, flea/tick/mite/de-worming, Heartguard monthly program in order for this Guarantee to be valid. Hartz Flea/Mite/Tick monthly treatment is highly effective and is affordable and can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart, Pet Smart, Pet Co. Monthly flea and tick baths along with monthly ear cleanser/mite ear solution (cheap) highly effective is a way of combating any of these potential problems. You must keep inner ears clean and dry on any and all floppy ear breeds which include the "Shih Tzu" Breed. Additionally, nails must be trimmed on a routine basis. Your Vet, Groomer, can do this for you or you can simply purchase a set of nail clippers at your local pet store and do it yourself.  
As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations, de-wormings, and external parasite prevention. Buyer has been informed of these. This guarantee does not cover diseases for which vaccinations could prevent on the buyers part. In other words, the buyer must continue the routine vaccination schedule as required. The seller assumes no responsibility for medical expenses, mortality, landlord's disapproval, allergy, or any other undesirable circumstances once the puppy has left the seller's premises. The size a puppy will grow to, as an adult, is only an estimate based on seller's experience and traits recognition. No guarantees are made as to adult size.   
Hernias must be certified by a veterinarian, to be currently life threatening and to have rendered the puppy unfit for purchase, in order for surgical repair reimbursement consideration. If hernia is life threatening Seller will have hernia fixed at Sellers Veterinarian.
